To the Council of the Sasanian Empire,

I am writing to formally express my interest in expanding and securing the Sasanian Empire's supremacy through continued military victories, fortification of diplomatic relationships, and the advancement of infrastructure across our land. My reign thus far as king has been marked by a series of critical victories, especially with my utter domination over Rome. I delivered a historic triumph that solidified Persia’s dominance on the world stage.

Throughout my reign, I have proven my strategic military capabilities, securing the empire’s borders through decisive action. My administrative reforms, including the reduction of feudal influence and the establishment of a centralized bureaucratic state, have stabilized our governance system and strengthened the cohesion of our empire. I have also undertaken significant infrastructure projects, such as the monumental bridge in Shushtar, enhancing connectivity and trade across our vast lands.

Moreover, I have prioritized the promotion of our state religion, Zoroastrianism, while simultaneously allowing for religious tolerance, understanding that diversity within the empire can be a source of strength. This flexibility in governance has allowed for the peaceful coexistence of different religious groups, including Jews and Manichaeans, within the empire.

It is my firm belief that my  leadership can further elevate the empire to further heights. I stand ready to lead our people toward a future of greater prosperity, power, and stability.

Sincerely,

Shapur I

King of the Sasanian Empire
